Yesterday marked the culmination of six month’s worth of cuts, burns, sweat and backaches. I graduated from culinary school. Better than that, I graduated with “distinction” – the second highest score in the class. Today, I’m left with a feeling of accomplishment, but also a bit of melancholy. My world has been saturated with food, cooking and all things culinary for the past half-year – and now it’s over, done, completed.
I realize I need to gather my energy once again for the next step – putting my newly-developed skills to use. However, today, I just want to relax.
