I turned my head from my own blog and did a little browsing on wordpress.com today.  It’s been some time since I’ve looked at others’ thoughts on topics like “personal” and “life” and “random”.  How self-absorbed I’ve become, thinking mine is the only blog out here.  As I scroll from page to page, I reflect, “oh yeah, a million people have the same dull, insipid thoughts as me,”  each one placing their quickly dashed-off snippet of ersatz contemplation into the permanent blogosphere. 

How many blogs can I read that begin with “Thank god it’s Friday”?
