Richer and Deeper

I spent yesterday with N.  In the indelible words of Hemingway, it was good.  Too much wine flowed and our conversations tried to touch upon everything at once – an impossibility.  We spent a good slice of our time discussing J – N’s old best friend and my old true love.  It was a clearing of the air – a cleansing.  J tends to hover over my relationship with N – we usually avoid talking about him, but he is always there, waiting in the wings.  I spent this morning thinking about J – something I haven’t done in years.  Perhaps one day I will tell you about him.

I want more friends like N – our connection is richer and deeper than the usual relationships I cultivate.  Meaningful.
